Omaruru Game Lodge is located in a 3 400-hectare private park in Namibia. The accommodation within the reserve is diverse, suiting all tastes. The accommodation options include superior bungalows, standard bungalows and the honeymoon bungalow, which are located around a big waterhole. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and mosquito nets.
Delicious meals are served at the lodge’s restaurant and four-course, candle-lit dinners are offered as well. Meanwhile self-catering bungalows provide the option of creating your own home away from home. All the bungalows have a patio with barbequing facilities, and there is a shared swimming pool in which guests can take a refreshing dip.
Facilities at the game lodge include a conference bungalow which accommodates about 25 people. Game drives are offered every day and allow guests the chance to witness the incredible wildlife roaming through the park such as baboons, zebras, rhinos, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, honey badgers, leopards, bat-eared foxes, hippos, jackals, wildebeest, warthog, hedgehogs and various antelope and bird species.
The lodge’s location is very central and day trips to various interesting destinations are possible. Trips include a drive to view the Erongo Mountains and prehistoric rock paintings. Guests can even book a flight with the lodge’s airplane and get a bird’s eye view of the Namib Desert.
Ideally located, Omaruru Game Lodge is a three-hour drive from Windhoek by car. Flight transfers from Windhoek International Airport or Eros Airport can be arranged and take just under an hour. With a great range of wildlife and comfortable accommodation, it is an ideal safari destination in Namibia.
